A championship of Backgammon for three players will be organized for senior adults
Backgammon for three players was invented in Armenia by Nerses Nersisyan. It is based upon a new design of the well-known board game classic backgammon which embodies the idea of the game three players simultaneously. Today Nerses Nersisyan was at the Seniors' Creativity Lab. He told the story of the invention and played with the visitors of SCL.
The principle and the rules for the game Backgammon for three players, fully comply with the rules of classic backgammon. Each player rearranges their checkers using just two sides of the board; this does not change the rules and classical techniques of the game, while each player plays against two opponents at the same time.
On one side a player will play their checkers against the second player, whilst on the second side he will play against a third player, which complicates the game and makes it much more interesting. There are two main varieties of the game - long and short backgammon.
A championship of Backgammon for three players will be organized for senior adults by the Association of HealthCare and Assistance to Older People.
